Spring has arrived at Samantha Elizabeth Hair Salon
It finally feels like Spring has arrived - the longer, milder, brighter days are here and we want to ensure that you're looking and feeling your most fabulous this March.
As well as that, it's a month to celebrate the amazing women in our lives with Mother's Day fast approaching and International Women's Day on the 8th of March.

SAMANTHA ELIZABETH UPDATES
Chelsea-Jade is back from her adventure on cruise ships. Follow the link to read her blog about her experience Chelsea-Jade's Cruise Ship Memories.
We're congratulating Louise and Chelsea- Jade, who have been promoted to stylists, effective from 1st April. Both have been qualified for 18months and their work is exceptional.
Samantha has had her carpal tunnel operation and is back to work - reduced hours at first. Read about her journey and what it means to finally be able to open my hand fully and have a full feeling in my fingers again (I hid it well, didn't I?) My Carpal Tunnel Operation.
We now have a facility called EASYTIP where you can tip your stylist if you wish from your phone using our QR code at reception. This goes directly into your stylist's bank account.
Ella is going on her Afro Caribbean course on Saturday 25th March in London. We are excited to be having this specialism coming into the salon.
WE ARE GOING GREEN - WITH GREEN SALON COLLECTIVE
This is something I have been deliberating over since coming back into the salon from all the lockdowns. To become more sustainable by recycling, more than just are cardboard, paper and bottles. We have installed a new card machine which is completely paperless and all works through an app so no unwanted paper for me or customers.
Green salon collective - "The key focus of salon collective is finding circular solutions for salon waste. We use hair to clean up spoils. We even generate clean energy using discarded PPE & general waste. We even compost salon towels."
We will recycle our hair, our metals which include our foils and colour tubes that currently go in landfill, chemicals if we mix too much that sadly get thrown down the sink. To become more sustainable as a salon is something the whole team is passionate about, especially Ella. She has become the green salon ambassador. Her new name is Gretta, or Green Queen. This will come into effect this month date unknown as we are waiting for our bins.
As with all things in life, there is a cost to going green and we need to add a ' £1 green fee' to our bills.

The whole team are getting very busy so please book to avoid disappointment. Remember Samantha, Esta, Ella and Chelsea- Jade now work 3 Saturdays a month.
