ABOUT SAMANTHA ELIZABETH HAIR SALON

I’m a local girl and I got my first job in a hairdressing salon at 15. I attended Lewes college and Crawley college to get my hairdressing qualifications, and over the years I have worked in four local salons and one salon in Surrey, with a little bit of travel in between. But from very early on, my dream has been to have my own salon. So I set myself the goal to be the owner of my salon by age 30. I became part owner of a business in 2013 and (with two weeks to spare before my 30th birthday!) I opened Samantha Elizabeth in November 2016. It was the best decision I ever made!

I learned a lot from my previous salons owners but I also had a very clear view of how I wanted my salon to be. Our goal for our clients when they walk through the door is to help them feel great about themselves by making them look fabulous. I also wanted to have a salon with an environment that was open and fun, so every client loved coming to us and all my staff enjoyed working with me.

So, unlike most salons, all my staff are employed, not freelance, and everyone is treated equally and gets trained well. Hairdressing requires people work unsocial hours, which can be hard, especially for working mums, so I also wanted to ensure all my staff have a great a work life balance, and they have regular time with family. Because happy staff do their best for clients.

The Samantha Elizabeth team has won six major salon awards since we launched, of which I am very proud.

I’m thrilled to have created my little Samantha Elizabeth bubble where clients can come knowing they will have the best experience and all my staff really enjoy their jobs. I can’t wait to welcome you.
