Spring has arrived

As we wait in anticipation for spring to arrive for the longer, milder, brighter days, we want to ensure that you're looking and feeling your most fabulous this March.

As well as that, it's a month to celebrate the amazing women in our lives with Mother's Day fast approaching on the 10th March and International Women's Day on the 8th March.

You all know it's at the heart of the Samantha Elizabeth's ethos to keep you all updated on all things going on in our little salon. In a snapshot:

Chelsea-Jade is returning from maternity leave in June

Ella is going inter-railing around Europe for One month from 22nd July, returning to the salon on Thursday 22nd August.

Samantha, Maureen, and Ella are doing their FIRST AID at work training on Wednesday 21st August 2024

Louise is starting her WELLA MASTER COLOUR EXPERT DEGREE. She starts this exciting journey in her career in July. Please make sure you book in with Louise as soon as possible as she will be in London training for 10days this year with further dates in 2025 to complete the course.

Travis is starting his NVQ 3 in September with Partners 4 Training in Uckfield. I am thrilled we have found this amazing independent training academy to help take our stylists to the next level.

Cydney is at the end of her apprenticeship. We are hoping for her completion date to be around June.

Elise has really come out of her shell and is progressing in-salon and at college with Partners 4 Training.

As you can see, we have a lot happening over the next few months, with some fantastic opportunities for our stylists to learn and grow, as we look to be the best we can for you.

It was so great having all the team together for our training day on Tuesday 16th January. What a great way to start our year. We had training with a fantastic educator called Anneliese Heese, covering all things balayage/foliage. As you can see, we all got to practice our skills on individual head models. That’s how we get ‘ahead' as stylists - sorry, couldn’t resist it!

K18, a treatment clinically proven to reverse hair damage, will be in stock from Monday 18th March. We absolutely loved this revolutionary treatment. It makes your hair feel fantastic. More information will be added to our website very soon. But for now, head to Instagram to watch and learn about our training day using the treatment.

As you know, at Samantha Elizabeth we place a lot of importance on work life balance. So, like last year, we are closing over the holiday period, including Christmas Eve. So we can spend time with our families and to help rest for the year ahead.

THURSDAY 2ND JANUARY 2025 - 9am-7pm

Being employed at Samantha Elizabeth is not restrictive. We try to provide a healthy work life balance allowing our staff to choose their hours within reason to insure a balance for both the employee and company. This is at the heart of our brand.

Samantha's working days are irregular as she is trying to balance training her apprentices and having a day working behind the business.

Treat Mum like a queen this Mother's Day!

If you're looking for a special gift for your mum, why not give the gift of amazing hair with a gift voucher from Samantha Elizabeth Hair Salon.

We promise to spoil her for you.

Chelsea-Jade and Georgia return dates

Chelsea- Jade is returning to the salon from maternity leave on Tuesdays throughout June and July. Then from August she will be working Tuesdays, Thursdays and one Saturday a month.

Georgia's date pending. We'll keep you informed.

Due to the ever increasing costs of my suppliers, reluctantly I’m having to increase the prices for some of our colouring services and chemical smoothing blow-drys.

I appreciate times are hard for everyone at the moment, so I have bridged the gap between levels for colour services, which means Advance Stylist prices are not changing, so this will not affect Samantha's or Georgia's customers, but I am having to bring the coloring services inline with each other slightly. So Senior Stylist technical services will be the same price as Advance stylist. Graduate Stylist and Stylist prices have increased also by £5 to bridge the gap.

At Samantha Elizabeth I employ all my staff, rather than run the salon with freelancers, because I believe it means we give a better service to our clients, and it's why we are multi-award winning. I love growing young professionals in the industry. I also love developing my team by helping them to further their skills and education. All of this comes at a cost to the business, but I feel it is worth it.

The Muddy Stilettos Awards 2024 for local businesses are now open for entries. We would love to have your vote again for this award. All you have to do is go through to the website to the nomination form and put Samantha Elizabeth down in the Sussex hair salon categories.  The first round of nominations run until the 14th March with the 5 businesses with the most nominations going through to the regional finals!

This is the link: or you can scan the QR code below or to the left.

There are a lot of different categories, so if you have a favourite restaurant or cafe, for example, you can nominate them at the same time.

To all the women who have positively impacted on the lives of fellow women, encouraged and lifted up another woman, may you continue to be fierce, bold and daring.

Happy International Women's Day to all of our clients!

We look forward to seeing you soon,

Samantha and Samantha Elizabeth Hair Salon team
