As I’m sure you can imagine, we are approached a lot by hair companies wanting us to promote their products. We could promote them all but when we have product in the salon we prefer to select those we really like and that we use on our own hair.
One of those products is Olaplex. We’ve heard people say it has been life changing for them. In our opinion that’s probably true - not one customer we’ve used it with has been disappointed.
What is it?
Olaplex was the first plex product on the market. It is a three-part process, which helps to rebuild and restore hair as well as helping prevent further damage in the future. The first two parts we do in salon. The third step you can do at home. I have a tip about that – so keep on reading...
The first two in-house parts are:
No 1 The bond multiplier
This concentrated first salon step starts the process rebuilding broken disulfide bonds within the hair and also begins the process of preventing damage and repairing hair.
We pop a little oil (Olaplex No1) into your colour, which then starts rebuilding the hair at the same time as colouring it, meaning you can actually keep the condition!
No 2 The Bond Perfector
Once your hair has developed we rinse the colour off and apply Olaplex No2, which has a cream consistency. We leave that on for about 10 minutes.
This second salon step continues to rebuild and restore any remaining broken bonds, ensuring the strongest, shiniest, and healthiest hair possible.
But it doesn’t stop there.
No.3 The Hair Perfector
Olaplex No3 works dynamically to help repair damage to all hair types and should be applied once a week to further lock-in the results of your salon treatment.
My tip
If you’re anything like me, you love a lazy Sunday. To my mind they’re for relaxing and chilling before the next week begins. My tip is to love your hair at the same time...
While Olaplex No 3 is not a conditioner, you should leave it on for as long as possible. So I recommend, dampening down your hair, applying Olaplex No 3, then making yourself a cuppa and catching up with a good film or a series you love on Netflix while it works its magic. Then when you’re ready, jump in the shower, shampoo and conditioner your hair and style as normal. Make this your regular weekly routine. It works for me.
If we are talking about healthy hair and using beautiful products at home, then Olaplex is one of my favourites. I’m elated that we have such an amazing product at our finger tips.
Olaplex Treatment
Olaplex can be used as a treatment all by itself. It follows the same magic 2 steps in salon that we use during colouring. It really works and we’ve had clients literally gobsmacked with the results.
Even if you don’t colour your hair, this product will make your hair feel and look a million dollars, repairing any damage within the hair through bleaching, blow drying, curling, and the elements that our hair has to deal with every day.
