In line with the new government guidelines form Monday 19th July - All our covid secure processes are remaining in place except for MASKS being mandatory and we will stop the temperature checks.
As a company we have thought long and hard about our decision on masks and discussed this with our team and captured their thoughts.
Message from salon owner Samantha
As most of you are aware, I Samantha have not worn a face mask as I'm exempt on medical grounds. During this entire time I have watched my team struggle to wear them 8-9 hours a day 5 or 6 days a week. Most of them have stressed to me they do not want to wear a mask. Considering the government has given every individual the choice and responsibility to take the steps they find most appropriate, I believe this is the most democratic way forward and the reason I'm making this optional for my team and clients. If you as a client wish to still wear a face covering, this is absolutely fine, but your stylist will have their own choice regarding this decision. I have my team's welfare and well-being to think of and I value their choices. Also, so many of you our clients have stressed you don't want to wear one so my decision on masks is optional as I believe this to be fair. We all as a team will continue to lateral flow test twice weekly as per the guidelines on 12/04/2021. We are continuing to send out our covid-19 forms with our screening questions on.
I have made one minor change; we are now a 9 chair salon instead of 10 chairs. We have removed one section to ensure a 2 meter plus or 1 meter distance between all sections head to head. To ensure a strict social distancing rule within the salon. I feel incredibly lucky and blessed we have such a large salon to be able to keep every safely distanced.
The screens in our back wash area will remain indefinitely as I feel this offers more privacy and is an area where everybody can relax more freely while you get your hair washed.
Our ventilation will remain so in the cooler months wrap up warm. Please continue to read our guidelines below.
Thank you for your understanding during this continuous time of change and for all your kind comments in relation to our decisions.
